Kathmandu, Nepal

Trip day numbers 155-156 were our final days in Nepal.  I will go ahead and mention the most important part of these 48 hours — our hotel Un Dia Blanco Eco Inn had HOT water.  Our room and the room next door shared a propane tank to heat the shower water.  I am learning to appreciate the little things in our everyday life that I normally take for granted.

We visited Bouddhanath Stupa and Pashupatinath Temple — both were within an hour walk of our hotel.  This made for an easy day, as we did not have to figure out transportation — again difficult because of the fuel shortage.

After walking around Bouddhanath Stupa, we embarked on the 45 minute walk to Pashupatinath Temple.  I had so many questions about the things we saw, but no one to ask.  Walking around town continues to be my favorite activity in the places we visit.
